The SuBaia Diving Center was founded in 2013, when the Punta Campanella Diving at Massalubrense, in the Sorrento Coast, decides to open a second diving point in the Gulf of Naples. The diving is located at the Campi Flegrei, in the heart of the Underwater Park of Baia: one of the most spectacular sites in the world for archaeological diving. From Baia you can also reach all the areas included in the Marine Protected Area “Neptune’s Kingdom” which includes the islands of Procida and Ischia. You can make all sorts of dives: from the visit to the remains of seaside villas and ports of the ancient Roman city of Baiae, to the walls rich in coralligenous of Procida, Ischia, Capri and the Sorrento Coast, to the beautiful offshore shoals. Naturalistic and night dives are also particularly interesting, due to the presence of a rich biodiversity, typical of the Gulf of Naples. That’s why this is a chosen sea area for underwater photographers.
The diving center provides the photographers a support made of expertise and passion, consequence of a direct experience in this activity by the owners and the guides. Moreover, benefits the collaboration of some of the most important underwater photographers. Enthusiasts can make any type of dive dedicated to photography, in special and unique spots. In the field of underwater photography and nature conservation, the diving center has published two photographic books by Mimmo Roscigno, “Into the Mirror” and “Baios”, entirely dedicated to the Gulf of Naples. Mimmo is also a founding member of the IUPS Italian Underwater Photography Society. The SuBaia Diving offers comprehensive care for recreational and technical diving with professional and experienced guides, equipped with a modern air-charging station, oxygen, nitrox and trimix.
