The Campi\u00a0Flegrei waters\u00a0reveal to divers\u00a0these wonders.
\nHere, the sea\u00a0preserved topical\u00a0the signs left\u00a0by the passage of\u00a0ancient Romans\u00a0and Greeks.<\/strong>
\nRuins of villas,\u00a0thermal baths\u00a0and roads lie\u00a0just a few meters\u00a0from the\u00a0surface and, together\u00a0with marine\u00a0life and gaseous\u00a0emissions,\u00a0create a unique\u00a0and unexpected underwater Mediterranean landscape.
\nThis extraordinary characteristics lead to the creation of a Marine Protected\u00a0Area<\/strong> between the municipalities of Bacoli and Pozzuoli. Octopuses, small crustaceans\u00a0and fishes snoop undisturbed around submerged buildings and roads,\u00a0colonized by sessile organisms such as algae, sponges, sea anemones, sea urchins\u00a0and starfishes.<\/p>\n

\nEmperor Claudio’s submerged nymphaeum: a rectangular\u00a0building with a semicircular apsis and four lateral recesses, housing\u00a0the statues\u00a0Prothyrum Villa and Pisoni’s Villa: just outside the nymphaeum,\u00a0there is Herculanea road, leading just in front of two impressive\u00a0villas’ remains.
\nThe Prothyrum Villa<\/strong> got this name because of its peculiar entrance\u00a0made of a series of rooms receiving light from a central atrium.
\nOne of these rooms let the divers appreciate and admire an\u00a0amazing mosaic<\/strong>, creating a black & white hexagonal pattern.
\nThe Pisoni’s Villa<\/strong>, belonging to a\u00a0noble family, de velops around\u00a0a courtyard and reveals mosaic\u00a0floors, semi-columns, marbles,\u00a0therm al baths and fish breeding\u00a0pools<\/p>\n

Portus Julius<\/strong>: Important harbor\u00a0structure, used as a dockyard by the\u00a0Miseno fleet. During the dive, it is possible\u00a0to admire the ancient harbor remains.
\nSmoky Shoal<\/strong>: The fumaroles, columns\u00a0of volcanic gas bubbles bursting\u00a0out from the seabed, are the main\u00a0features of this dive site, together with\u00a0uncountable sulphur deposits creating
\nan extraordinary and unique underwater\u00a0environment and landscape.<\/p>\n
